This is a very helpful tutorial on how to block someone on MSN messenger who is “spamming” or annoying you via Instant Message.

Step 1 - Sign Into MSN Messenger so you get a screen similar to the one below.

Step 2 - Click on the users name whom you wish to block. In the tutorial we will be blocking “Adam”.

As you can see, in the image below his name is highlighted (left) in the “firends” pane and a box popped up to interact with Adam (right).

Step 3 - You will notice in the image above a button that says “Block” and looks like this.

Click on this button to Block Adam.

Step 4 - Provided you correctly clicked the button now you will see a pop up similar to the image below.

Step 5 - Click “Ok” and now Adam should be blocked.

Results - Now that Adam is blocked he will show in you buddy pane but have a red “blocked” symbol around his name as seen in the image below.

Note: You can see when Blocked user is on or offline, although they always see you as offline.

Note: If you ever whish to “Unblock” Adam for any reason. Ex: He apologizes or makes things right.

All you have to do is double click on his name in your buddy pane and click the “Unblock” Image in the Message window.
